  1. Blog: Freakonomics
    http://freakonomics.com/podcast/who-needs-handwriting/
Content: This blog contains a radio podcast, books & magazines, lectures, and articles pertaining to questions & riddles of everyday life.
Appearance: The contents are broken into tiles and the interface looks quite clean and I found it easy to read.
Ease of Navigation: It's relatively easy to navigate. You have a search bar on top and the hot topics that you need are right in front of you. It's simple and minimal.
Apparent Bias: Articles here seem mostly informative and are written by economic experts who answer puzzling questions. There is a bit of humor, but no one-sided things are taken into account in general.

    Blog: iMFdirect
    https://blog-imfdirect.imf.org/
Content: The blog seems to have international substance regarding the economy. Content is arranged on topics like tax growth, GDP, economic research, etc for a variety of countries.
Appearance: The moment you land in this blog, it looks as if the interface is outdated. The blog is powered by Wordpress and is small in terms of posts. The links in my opinion seemed to be overcrowded.
Ease of Navigation: I found it not easy to look for some topics and articles. Pictures and the alignment of some articles aren't up-to-date, but I found it interesting that there are tags that link to similar blog posts.
Apparent Bias: I found no clear indication of bias in a couple of the blog posts that I looked at. Many of them are informational and give statistics regarding economic research.

  2. Blog: http://krugman.blogs.nytimes.com/
Content: This blog mainly contains blog posts but also features graphs, videos and pictures.
Appearance: The blog posts are organized by the date they were published. Each post has a title of its own and many have links to other websites, data, videos and quotes to provide evidence for the author's stances.
Ease of Navigation: While the author does not have a Blog Archive that lists posts by categories or date published, there is a search bar at the top that allows you to search his blog posts by topics. The layout is simple: as readers scroll down, the latest posts are read first and older posts come later.
Apparent Bias: The blog seems to be more critical of the Republican party and than the Democratic party. Furthermore, the title of his blog is "The Conscience of a Liberal", connoting that the author is a liberal. Many of the posts seem to be about politics and analyzing contradictory positions between Republican Presidential candidates.

    Blog: http://ecologicalheadstand.blogspot.co.uk/
Content: Same as the blog above, this blog mainly contains blog posts but also features graphs, videos and pictures.
Appearance: The blog seems to dark for the eyes - I get tired looking at the grey. The background on the left side is completely grey and the background on the right side is black. The text is black as well, signifying how bleak the author's life is.
Ease of Navigation: The organization of the blog is the same as the blog above: the posts get older as the reader scrolls down. The most important topics, in the author's opinion, is linked at the top of the blog and popular posts are linked on the right-hand side. The author has a Blog Archive on the bottom right, which serves as a search box by arranging the blog posts by date published.
Apparent Bias: There does not seem to be an apparent bias because the content of the blog does not focus on politics. Rather, it is strictly economics-based and tries to analyze the beliefs of prior economists. The only piece of information that would suggest an apparent bias would be the title: "Ecological Headstand." It is a stretch to label the title as an apparent bias but a reader may think the author is a 'tree-hugger" and that he is against the fossil fuel industry.

    http://www.calculatedriskblog.com/p/about-calculated-risk.html
Content: Focuses on the U.S. Economy, more specifically its current ups and downs related to trade, oil, and employment
Appearance: Complicated, as this website is verbose and cluttered with words
Ease of Navigation: Easy, with the 10 recent blog hyperlinks off to the right hand side, but confusing because the link will automatically take you to the most recent post, rather than a list of all the blogs
